Responsibilities:
- Direct management of Airborne SatCom group engineers and integrators
- Overall responsibility for all Airborne SatCom technical project management at R&D:
- Planning and monitoring of all project R&D activities
- Planning and monitoring of project R&D budget (material and hours)
- Lead of technical activities with the customer including design reviews, acceptance testing and system assimilation
- Matrix management of R&D engineers of all disciplines (HW, SW, RF, Mechanical)
- Analyzing, defining and writing System, Software and Hardware level specifications.
- Participation in Pre-Sale activities. Understanding customer requirements and their translation to the engineering world
- Lead and participate in technical system development
- Lead and participate in system integration and testing phases
- Lead trouble-shooting efforts
- Facing wide organization interfaces (sales, pre-sale, service, QA, purchase, production)
Requirements:
Education:
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Electrical-Engineering from a known institute.
- ME in System Engineering – Advantage
Experience
- 5-7 years’ experience as part of a development team for multi-disciplinary projects
- 2-3 years’ experience in leading technical multi-disciplinary teams
Skills:
- Hands-on experience in RF and electro-mechanical systems design
- Experience in project management throughout entire project life cycle
- Ability to write technical documents and specifications in English
- Hands-on complex troubleshooting experience
- Open minded and flexible with high self-teaching skills
- Team player who can matrix manage
- Fluent in English – speaking, writing, reading
- Hands-on experience in servo motion control, real-time software – Advantage
- Knowledge & experience in SATCOM systems – Advantage
- Knowledge & experience designing to military standards (810, 461, 704) – Advantage
