Fighters and Trainers
During both combat and training, pilots are confronted by overwhelming physical and mental stress while needing to simultaneously communicate with other pilots and ground elements. Multiple incoming radio signals can be difficult to differentiate, which adds to this stress and can result in mission failure. To address this challenge, Orbit’s audio management systems (AMS) separate each radio signal into a distinct channel so that allows pilots to distinguish between them, while also providing high fidelity audio to render each conversation in maximum clarity. AMS features a resilient, compact, and flexible IP-based design for easy integration and maintenance. Orbit’s AMS solutions have been installed on combat and trainer aircraft including the F-15, F-16, MIG 21, and T-38. At the same time, our airborne SATCOM solutions deliver stable VSAT links, even in tough weather and operational conditions, for GEO and NGSO operations that use Ku and Ka bands. Both AMS and SATCOM solutions are characterized by their lightweight, ease of installation, and ease of maintenance.
